About the event

THE POP SMOKE FASHION GALA: DISRUPTION

Fashion. Culture. Legacy. Disruption.

For one unforgettable night, the worlds of music, fashion, and culture collide as we celebrate the enduring influence of Bashar "Pop Smoke" Jackson through an immersive evening of style, creativity, and purpose.

More than a gala. More than a fashion show. This is a celebration of a legacy that continues to inspire culture around the world.

Bashar "Pop Smoke" Jackson was known for his unmistakable voice, but those closest to him knew his passion extended far beyond music. He possessed a natural eye for style, a love for design, and an appreciation for culture that shaped everything from his sound to his signature aesthetic.

As a participant in MAAFA at St. Paul Community Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Johnny Ray Youngblood, Bashar developed a deep curiosity about the African continent and its rich traditions. Through African dance and drumming, he connected with rhythms and cultural influences that would later help shape the energy and spirit reflected throughout his music.

The son of Jamaican and Panamanian immigrants, Pop Smoke embodied the confidence of Brooklyn and the pride of his heritage. His style was unmistakable: a sophisticated blend of luxury fashion, streetwear, and Caribbean influence that helped define a generation and continues to influence fashion and culture worldwide.

This year's Pop Smoke Fashion Gala honors that vision by bringing together a carefully curated group of emerging and established designers who share Bashar's spirit of creativity, innovation, and fearlessness. Selected designers will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with the Jackson family and contribute to the ongoing evolution of Black Smoke and Bashar B. Jackson NYC.

Guests will experience an unforgettable evening featuring:

• A premier runway presentation showcasing exclusive collections and capsule designs

• Live entertainment and special performances

• Curated culinary experiences and passed hors d'oeuvres

• Music by renowned DJs

• Exclusive reveals from Black Smoke and partner brands

• Opportunities to support the next generation of creatives through the Shoot for the Stars Foundation

Featuring Black Smoke: Disruption

Founded by Audrey Jackson, mother of the late Bashar "Pop Smoke" Jackson, Black Smoke is more than a fashion brand. It is a living extension of Bashar's vision, creativity, and cultural influence.

Built to honor his legacy while creating opportunities for the next generation, Black Smoke serves as a platform for emerging designers, artists, and creatives whose work pushes boundaries and challenges convention, much like Pop himself.

This year's featured collection, Disruption, embodies the essence of Bashar's unmistakable style. A bold fusion of urban couture and elevated streetwear, the collection reflects the confidence, sophistication, and edge that made Pop Smoke a fashion icon both on and off the stage.

Designed for those who refuse to blend in, Disruption explores the intersection of luxury and street culture, where tailored silhouettes meet raw authenticity, and timeless fashion collides with fearless innovation. Every piece is inspired by the spirit of a young visionary who transformed music, fashion, and culture by refusing to follow the rules.

More than a collection, Disruption is a tribute to those who dare to create their own lane, challenge expectations, and leave their mark on the world.

This exclusive runway presentation will feature Black Smoke's latest designs alongside collections from a select group of emerging designers chosen to showcase their creativity, craftsmanship, and vision. Together, they represent the future of fashion while honoring the legacy of one of Brooklyn's most influential cultural figures.

About Black Smoke

Black Smoke was founded by Audrey Jackson to preserve, celebrate, and expand the legacy of her son, Bashar "Pop Smoke" Jackson. What began as a tribute has evolved into a movement dedicated to fashion, culture, mentorship, and creative opportunity.

Through designer showcases, educational initiatives, cultural programming, and international collaborations, Black Smoke continues to create pathways for emerging talent while carrying forward the entrepreneurial vision Pop Smoke dreamed of building.

Every collection, every partnership, and every event serves as a reminder that legacy is not simply what we leave behind. It is what we continue to build.

Supporting the Legacy

Proceeds from the Pop Smoke Fashion Gala benefit the Shoot for the Stars Foundation, supporting programs that empower youth, foster creativity, provide educational opportunities, and inspire the next generation of leaders, artists, and entrepreneurs.

By attending, guests become part of a mission that extends far beyond the runway, helping ensure that Bashar's commitment to uplifting others continues to impact communities for years to come.
